Zayne boardin and Mason a play date!

Trav and I took Zayne out to go boardin at Stevens. We had so much fun we didnt want it to stop. Trav is a great teacher and he told Z had to board. We got Z all strapped in and on the first try he was able to go down w/o falling and he even stopped his board w/o fallin! He is such an amazing child and so gifted that he continuously proves it more to us every day! And of course Ma Jay was pooped out from Nana and Papa and Daddy Jacob! He is gettin to be quite da boy just like his brother! We are truly blessed with two beautiful, happy, easy boys!

Heres the cutest lil guy ever and he has stolen my heart. Zayne is extremely excited to have a cousin!! He kept saying "Oh hes so little but he has a big head!!" Mason did great with me holding my nephew and he kept wanting to play with him and try to give him wet kisses!! So exciting I cannot wait till they get older, they are going to be best buddies! I am so proud of my sister! Alright I have to admit she made a cute little offspring I cannot wait till I get to kidnap him!!! We love you Dasin!

So Mason is finally here! He was born june on Friday the 13th! we should have just changed the m on his name to j which would have made Jason which is extremely creepy b/c I just thought of that this very moment! hmmmm very creepy! Anyways he was 6lbs 12 oz 20inches long. He is a healthy, happy baby what more could we want!

Vancouver Aquarium/ Stanely Park

We went to the Vancouver aquarium this weekend! It was the best place ever and they had so much to offer. They not only had sea life but rainforest animals and much more. I just wish we could have taken more photos of everything! The best thing was that each of the animals looked like they were actually in their natural habitats so that didn't make us feel too bad for them being confined. We had lunch by the beluga whales and we got to watch them dive and spout and play!! They also had venus fly traps! Scary! It was a great experience!

So all the kids and I went to go see Mema's baby duckies and what we also thought to be baby pigs which are not really babies any more. Zayne got to ride a pig again like he rides a horse except for this time the pig almost rolled over on him! Lovely! So then we decided to play it safe and let the ducks play in the pond for the first time! Awwww they were toooooooo cute! Zayne got to help me carry them back to the barn and put them under the heating bulb. He was so excited to see them fluff back up!

Oak Harbor Street Fair!

So after the parade we went weaving through the street fair! Zayne got his face painted like a real spider by a real clown who said afterwards that "Gene Simons would be proud"! So the whole time after, Zayne was sneaking up on random people and scaring them! It was a kodak moment!

We went to the parade last weekend! It was such a nice day out and Z was in heaven because of all the marching bands. He kept up to their beats tapping away his little feet! He got a monkey friend! There was a lot of neat stuff we were so happy that daddy could join and not have to work all the time!

Baby Blankets!

I quilted these blankets as baby shower gifts. THe black & white one was a huge one that I quilted for Danny. The two smaller ones are carry me blankets and I made those for Lisa's little girl to be and her older brother. They are big John Deere fans. The backings on the blankets are silk! It was a lot of fun!

It Snowed!

And the snow just kept on coming! We got about a good foot and a half! Zayne was so excited he got to ride his 4 wheeler! Man he is pro at that thing he has been riding it since he was 18 months! Mr. Independent! We had snow ball fights,made a BIG snowman, went sleding down the BIG hill by our house and made snow angels! Then came in the house and watched movies in bed with hot cocoa! We seem to think it was a fun day!

Zayne wants to go to school like Josh! So today he asks me to put on his backpack, he says bye mommy I'm gonna be late and runs around the house like he is trying to find the bus!! He painted these pictures for mommy, daddy nan and papa and "Jacob Daddy"!! On the black one he splattered the paint brush to make snow!

Driveway is officially finished!!

So here is a picture of our driveway! Trav and I decided to tackle this project this weekend so we were no longer getting mudd in my house! We made diamonds all down the center of the driveway with bricks and then used this colored, polished pebbles as grout! So our cars our on each side so it acts as a walkway!

We went to the beach this weekend and just took advantage of the good weather. Zayne had a blast with his rain boots and sat on a little island! And you know Trav being Trav built odd rock formations but hmmmmm I think thats a smile on his face! Zayne found a rock which he was sooooooo proud of! awwwwwwwwwwww. We had a lot of fun.

All We Need Is A Baby Now!

So I finished the baby room/ Z's room! I made the cushion for his toy box! We don't need a crib just because we have a different view on raising our children. Zayne's bed actually has a car tent over it which he absolutely loves. Since the day we set it up and had him start sleeping on his own we have not had to tell him to stay in bed not once! We altered his curtains a bit and made his hanger for his stuff animals and yes Zayne actually won that huge spiderman at the carnival! I made the shelf next to my rocker which works really great for space. We are very pleased with how it has all turned out! So thank you everyone for all the little things we got from family we really put it to use!

So here is our tropical tree! I asked Zayne what he was going to name it because it's his buddy, he says "Conner". How funny is that! So he calls it conner and I call it grandpa john b/c it reminds me of being in Arizona! Everytime Zayne walks by it he says dramatically "LOVE IT". Next thing you know he'll probably be saying thats fierce!

So Here is Z's playground!! And Now it is completely finished. And then all around it will be grass as soon as it wants to wake up and grow! Here are some hanging pots we did. I love the hangers that trav got me for my birthday (they have dragonflys on them!! So here is one less thing to work on!

So there have been many trial and errors for my living room but this time I have died and gone to heaven. For those who really know me I love chocolate and green! This living room is so functional for us and has a lot of sitting room just in case anyone decides to come over ever! Finally there is improvement and everything has a place! I also redid my wall on my stairs with the first poster I bought for our first house!! I found a frame for it and it's of the war ends kiss which is a classic picture! We have been working on the other rooms so there will be more pics along the way but my living room is staying just the way it is!

SO this is what one looks like hmmmm okay! Trav had a great idea to go to this park that he heard about! We drove all the way to Stanwood and then some but it was worth it! We had a great time flying kites by the ocean and then watching Zayne go crazy over all the NEW toys he has never seen before! It was alot of fun for all ages (okay I admit it Trav and I played on them too!) The spider web Rocked it for us!

We walked through the christmas lighting and there was so much to see! Zayne had a blast with the horses and the fire pits. Let's just face it, he had a blast with everything! The talking tree was a real mystery to where the guy was hiding! We warmed up though with hot cocoa and face painting where zayne learned how to say "shake your booty" from a little mischevious boy! Lovely!
